About Sampson
Design innovator, programs manager, and community strategist from Ghana. My work lives at the intersection of sustainability, social innovation, and design education.

My Mission
“My mission is to use design as a bridge between environmental innovation and human potential. I believe meaningful design happens when empathy meets strategy — when people and communities are co-creators of the solutions they need.”
Design Philosophy
I see design as a tool for transformation, not decoration. My work is guided by four core principles:
Empathy
Understanding people's lived experiences before proposing solutions.
Systems Thinking
Tracing connections between environment, economy, and education.
Co-Creation
Building with communities, not for them.
Iteration
Using experimentation to turn ideas into sustainable change.
My Story
With a background in agriculture and environmental systems, I've always been fascinated by how waste can be transformed into new possibilities. That curiosity evolved into aSantE Cycle, a youth-led initiative that turns wood waste into a substrate for mushroom cultivation, empowering young people to become environmental innovators.
Through the Green Classroom Initiative, I designed and led a school-based program that introduced circular economy and design thinking principles to students — transforming classrooms into labs for creativity, climate literacy, and problem-solving.
Professionally, I've managed programs with organizations like Women's Haven Africa, MEST Africa, Mastercard Foundation, GIZ Ghana, and Kosmos Innovation Center — leading teams, securing funding, and designing scalable systems for impact.
My approach merges data, empathy, and creativity to design experiences that are both measurable and meaningful. I believe design isn't only for studios or startups — it belongs in classrooms, farms, and communities where people are solving real challenges daily.
Beyond project leadership, I've had the privilege of representing African youth on global platforms, including discussions with Prince William and The Earthshot Prize team, where I contributed insights on youth innovation and access models for climate impact.
My creative toolkit includes design thinking, user research, rapid prototyping, and digital storytelling. I use tools such as Figma, Canva, and photoshop for ideation and layout; I sketch and prototype by hand; and I collaborate across disciplines from carpenters to designs to bring ideas to life
